Dr Amy Norman

Dr Amy Norman graduated from Macquarie University, where she completed both her Bachelor of Chiropractic Science and her Masters of Chiropractic. She also obtained her certificate in Musculoskeletal Acupuncture through the Australian College of Education. Amy has also studied Chiropractic neuro-rehabilitation through the Carrick Institute of Post Graduate Studies. In 2017 she was one of 7 Australians to sit the American Chiropractic Neurology Board Exams and is now a Diplomate (D.A.C.N.B). She has now undertaken further study and is a Certified Aquanatal Instructor- only one of three practitioners that are teaching pregnancy safe aquatic fitness in Sydney.

Outside of the treatment room Dr Amy is now currently the NSW representative for the Women in Chiropractic Committee for the Australian Chiropractors Association. She has also been in many previous roles of leadership. One of the organisations that she contributed to was the Australasian Academy of Functional Neurology where she held positions such as on the the Board of Directors, Compliance Secretary and Events Committee Co-chair assisting in creating seminars to educate multidisciplinary practitioners broadening their neurology knowledge. This passion for neurology also lead to Amy being a casual Academic for Macquarie University specifically for the examination of Masters Program Students in Neurology Practical Skills until 2018.

Amy has had a wide range of interests in sports since childhood when she would compete in State and National Taekwondo tournaments. She has conducted and assisted in research regarding injury epidemiology in Taekwondo as well as Mixed Martial Arts. She has also had experience teaching children and adults how to swim and loves promoting a healthy lifestyle. Since personally experiencing pregnancy, birth and parenthood her passion to increase her knowledge and techniques has continued to grow and develop. Amy has a love for pregnancy care, paediatrics, sport performance and neuro-rehabilitation.

Dr Yiyao Sun
B.PH & PM, M. Chiro

Chiropractor in Hurstville

Originally from China where she discovered her passion for helping people achieve health naturally. Given her background, she speaks fluently Mandarin and English. She has had one year internship in hospital, seeing people suffering from neuromusculoskeletal pain and having limited improvement from surgery. That’s why she decided to study chiropractic, practicing the idea of helping people achieve health naturally, by looking well into the spine and joints, without medicine and surgery. As a Chiropractor, she provides manual therapy, including joint manipulation, mobilisation and dry needling. She is passionate about enabling various age groups to become the best version of themselves through natural chiropractic care.

 

During her downtime, she enjoys doing Pilates to keep herself healthy and active. She believes that an active lifestyle is essential for good health!
